I grew up skinny all my life. My 3 sisters
and I used to swap clothes all the time.
All of a sudden, I’m overweight, can’t run,
can’t fit in ANY of my clothes…
How did I not see this coming??
Well it’s not true, it didn’t come all of a
sudden. I just didn’t pay attention. I used to be very athletic, and I suddenly
stopped. Then 2 people I really loved passed away and I started to eat my
emotions and let stress get the best of me… And here I am today. Last
year, I decided to start running. It was sooooo hard in the beginning! I
started with my hubby and another couple and I was always last. My legs would
cramp up, I thought I was going to die. Then a facebook friend posted that she
wanted to run the Montreal 5k and was asking who wanted to do it with her. I
don’t know what got into me but I said yes! Oh man the week after I regretted
it so bad…
I’m not going to lie the whole training was
hard, but on September 22nd 2013, I completed my run in record time
(for me!). I was soo proud of myself! I couldn’t believe it. That really
encouraged me to believe I could change my position and lose the excess weight.
I also found a love for running. It helps clear my head and deal with stress.
Next year, I’ll be running the 10km and my
goal is to lose 30 pounds. I’ll let you know how it goes!
Do you have a weight loss goal? What’s your
favorite training method? Have you lost weight recently and how did you do it?
*-*
J’ai toujours été
“megzo”. Mes 3 sœurs et moi on portait
toutes la même taille, donc on avait chacune 4 garde robes!
Un jour je me
réveille, et j’ai un surpoids. Mais un gros surpoids… Comment ça se fait que je
ne l’ai pas senti?
Ben… c’est pas
vraiment vrai.
me décider à perdre cet excédent de poids.
